Coronavirus – Facial Recognition at DisneyWorld

Disney is testing OPTIONAL facial recognition technology for entry to the Magic Kingdom. The experiment is being assessed between 23 March and 23 April. Guests must remove hats, visors and sunglasses but their MASKS must be worn. Apparently the image taken converts to a number which is then associated with the point of entry to get into the park. Coronovirus – Magic Kingdom Open Again

Amid over 10,000 new cases reported in the Sunshine State on 11 July it didn’t prevent the re-opening of the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’, the Magic Kingdom. Entry is strictly by appointment only and admissions are around 50% of normal occupancy. This must be a blessed relief to visitors to be able to roam around at a safe distance. Coronavirus – TUI cancels all Florida programmes until at least December 2020

TUI, Britain’s largest surviving tour operator has just announced that their Florida programme is to be grounded until the end of November 2020.
