Walt Disney World has announced more of it’s plans to showcase it’s 50th Anniversary celebrations later this year.

“World’s Most Magical Celebration” commences across all four Walt Disney World theme parks from 1st October 2021 and runs for 18 months in line with previous themed celebrations and anniversaries.

Previous information  DisneyWorld celebrates 50 in 2021 outlined proposed plans for the parks but more information has been released.

Magic Kingdom:

A brand new light show from Cinderella’s Castle called Disney Enchantment will encompass Main Street USA with projection effects and for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic began the light show will be accompanied with fireworks. 

Throughout the day Mickey, Minnie and their friends will also celebrate with a new “Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade” on the stage in front of Cinderella’s Castle.

New golden bunting and decorations have been added to the castle including a new 50th Anniversary celebration crest.

Epcot:

A brand new night time spectacular is planned for Epcot called Harmonious. It is the largest display ever for the park. Harmonious celebrates how the Disney’s music inspires people around the world. Expect to be carried away harmoniously on a stream of familiar Disney tunes reinterpreted by a diverse group of artists. Harmonious features huge floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, lasers and more.

Disney will also be unvieling their newest ride at Epcot. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure where guests will shrink to Chef Remy’s size and race through Gusteau’s restaurant on a wild adventure.

The Guardians of the Galaxy aren’t missing out either with Cosmic Rewind. A storytelling coaster that rotates 360 degrees so you don’t miss out on the actions. Rewind is because this is the first reverse launch on any Disney coaster.

Animal Kingdom:

Disney Kite Tails premieres at the Magic Kingdom at various times of the day featuring some of Disney’s favourite characters in kite artistry around the Discovery River Amphitheatre.

Across all the parks will be 50 Gold Disney characters to discover as your day unfolds. The showcase of each park, every evening will transform into ‘Beacons of Magic.’ Pixie dust will shimmer on Cinderella’s Castle, magical fireflies will inhabit the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and new touches will come to life on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Back at EPCOT, new lights will shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth, resembling stars in the night sky.

Although you have 18 months to experience the celebrations already pre-booking has been very active and spaces for 1st October are already running out.
