Walt Disney World – Raise Prices & Introduce a ‘Lightening Lane Premiere Pass’

Universal Studios Announce Opening Date For Epic Universe

Cost of living crisis? What cost of living crisis? It seems that the powers that be at Walt Disney World are not aware of such things happening outside of the most magical place on earth.

If you are planning to visit any of the Florida parks in the near future you need to be aware of price increases and even more puzzling but I guess no surprise after the ‘Oasis’ World Tour ticket fiasco that there will be dynamic pricing on popular dates and on how busy the park will be. Disneyland California had previously announced entry rises for certain 2025 periods and now Walt Disney World has followed suite. For November through the festive season will range as follows.

One day park entrance range per person

The Magic Kingdom $144-$199

Epcot $129-$194

Hollywood Studios $139-$194

Animal Kingdom $119-$174

Disney are obviously trying to give a premium experience for those that can afford it. On top of the park entry will be the Genie+ App allowing guests to reserve slots on popular rides that can vary between $16-$39 per person per day.

Guests that are staying on selected Disney properties can also purchase the newly introduced Lightening Lane Premiere Pass ranging from $129-$449 per person. This new premium pass allows entry without booking to ride once a day on all rides at the park of their choosing. Whilst the Lightening Lane Multi Pass allows guests to reserve up to three attractions at time and the Single Pass is like an a la carte system. To be honest the choices are confusing and decisions have to be made in advance of your visit.

To plan a visit seems to be a strategic event and you need a project manager overseeing a family’s expectations. No spontaneity allowed. Every member of the family is going to have their eyes on their phones following a planned schedule and route.

On top of all of this remember that parking a car will set you back another $30 per day or $49 if you want preferred parking. Parking at Disney Springs is still the only area that has free parking.

There are multi day and park hopping options available and again do your research as far in advance as you can.

Still in the Sunshine State and central theme park Orlando the other 2025 news is that Universal has finally announced the opening date for the much awaited Epic Universe. Save the date…….22 May 2025 and tickets are on sale NOW!
