Brightline High Speed Passenger Train
Tickets for Miami to Orlando have now gone on sale. After researching some train services across the States I was surprised at the one way fare. You have to bear in mind that this is a high speed service travelling at 125mph so the journey between the cities is 3 hours 25 mins including 3 or 4 scheduled stops.
A one way journey is $79 called a Smart Fare that includes the option to pre-pay for parking at $7 or if you turn up to park it will be $15. There is also a Premium Fare at $149 that will give you complimentary snacks, drinks, lounge access and of course priority boarding.
For more details and information on the schedules see Go Brightline.
TIP: For international visitors to Florida it is worth the research into the air fares to fly into alternative cities to Orlando and consider the rail journey instead to Central Florida and Walt Disney World and the other theme parks. Car hire can still be booked from Orlando International where the Brightline latest station has opened.
