Setting off early to try and maximise our time in the Chicago area the journey time was 4 hours 15 minutes to do 288 miles. Taking a break at Aurora to visit the outlet mall there. Chicago River Ducky Derby

Away from the global pandemic and the confusing picture about international travel there was the annual Chicago Ducky Derby that is held on the Chicago River. Almost 70,000 rubber ducks with sunglasses are literally dumped into the Chicago River every August.
