Visiting Las Vegas shortly? Be warned. A new law has been introduced that could cost you a $1000 fine or six months imprisonment.
Thinking of using one of the pedestrian footbridges that cross the famous Las Vegas Strip and stopping to take that all important selfie or group photo with the bright lights behind you then STOP…….actually you can’t stop because stopping or making another pedestrian to stop is against the law. If you stop to tie your shoelaces then it might be acceptable.
Each of the four bridges that cross the famous ‘Strip’ has stairs, lifts (elevators) and escalators but there are so many people using them that visitors stopping and congregating is causing blockages and delays so the new law is intended to keep the flow of footfall fluid.
