Visiting Orlando for the Theme Parks? When you are not in the parks or relaxing by your resort pools there is a distinct possibility that you will use the spare time indulging in shopping.
There are three outlet shopping areas in the theme park areas between Kissimmee and International Drive. The quietest and the smallest is the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores and is conveniently located 2 miles from Walt Disney World Resort, |8 miles from Universal Studios, 4 miles from Sea World and convenient for Orlando and Sanford Airports. There is never an issue finding parking here and many local resort hotels offer a shuttle service.
At the very end of International Drive is the largest and busiest mall, Premium Outlets Orlando International. If you are staying on or nearby International Drive you can make use of the I Ride Shuttle.
Also within reach of the I Ride Shuttle is Premium Outlets Orlando Vineland which is slightly smaller than the Orlando International but it always seems busier. Now parking is a challenge unless you get there at least half an hour before the stores open.
Both of the Premium Outlets are hectic and parking is a fine art. Of course you could have your car parked by the Valet Parking service. Now if you want to park close to the entrance you have to pay and the bays are clearly marked out. This service is used at Malls as well and run by My Park. Even with the introduction of a multi storey car parking facility at Vineland that costs $10 per car there are plenty of cars cruising around looking and following shoppers to jump into their soon to be vacant spaces.
Vineland always ends up with cars abandoned on grass verges or drivers deciding to add their vehicle to the end of a line. What does appear to be obvious though is that Vineland has an extension plaza of stores inlcuding Gap, Ugg, Hoka and a new Primark Orlando just by crossing Vineland Avenue with masses of available parking. So come on visitors to Vineland you are having to walk around the stores anyway so adding a couple of minutes to get into the experience isn’t going to hurt you and you won’t have to cruise.
TIP: Get to the Outlets before opening time to be sure to park comfortably. Vineland use the parking across Vineland Avenue. Download the My Park App and prepay.
