Coronavirus – Facial Recognition at DisneyWorld

Disney is testing OPTIONAL facial recognition technology for entry to the Magic Kingdom. The experiment is being assessed between 23 March and 23 April. Guests must remove hats, visors and sunglasses but their MASKS must be worn. Apparently the image taken converts to a number which is then associated with the point of entry to get into the park. Works are underway at Walt DisneyWorld to prepare for it’s 50th anniversary in 2021. Cinderella’s Castle has been repainted and the iconic arch on the approach into Walt DisneyWorld that welcomes visitors from across the world is being decorated for the 2021 celebrations. Coronovirus – Magic Kingdom Open Again

Amid over 10,000 new cases reported in the Sunshine State on 11 July it didn’t prevent the re-opening of the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’, the Magic Kingdom. Coronavirus – TUI cancels all Florida programmes until at least December 2020

TUI, Britain’s largest surviving tour operator has just announced that their Florida programme is to be grounded until the end of November 2020. Due to the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic and the stresses on International Travel the company has decided to suspend all operations to the Sunshine State.
