Unless you are in a Walt Disneyworld Hotel
So I was taken aback when I read that come 28 June 2026 this experience will no longer be available unless you have Walt Disneyworld hotel accommodation or a dinner reservation at a Walt Disneyworld resort hotel.
It seems that this loophole had been closed when the area was at it’s busiest and now the decision has been taken to make it a permanent inclusion to the resort. This means that those savvy visitors wanting to get to the Polynesian Resort to get a vantage point to view the nightly fireworks at the Magic Kingdom or view them from Disney’s Boardwalk for the Epcot firework display will have to rethink their plans. Explore Walt Disneyworld for FREE!
I understand that the Disney corporation prioritises paying guests and it seems that so many guests were using the transportation to visit resort hotels that it meant that returning hotel guests were not able to board busy buses.
There will still be free transportation from the Disney Parks to resort hotels and back to Disney Springs but no longer will there be bus or boat services from Disney Springs to resort hotels.
Disney Springs will still be free to park at and of course as this loophole is closed those guests with ambitions to explore will have to rethink their plans it should make the parking garages less busy. Disney Springs plan your visit
