Coronavirus – White House Considers Lifting Travel Bans from Europe

Whilst in Europe Thanksgiving remains an American holiday, news is breaking that President Trump and his administration are considering rescinding entry bans for most non U.S citizens in Europe.

Can European travellers give thanks? Although most European countries have banned U.S visitors do European travellers want to enter America at this time. Covid-19 appears to out of control in America and the numbers are still spiralling up and up.

Lifting the travel ban will be a welcome boost to the airlines who are reportedly 70% down in 2020.

Appeals to Americans not to travel this Thanksgiving fell on deaf ears and over a million flyers a day travelled through America’s airports this Thanksgiving weekend…..with an expected spike in cases to follow. These numbers are still down on 2019 though.

If testing before departing and then again on arrival can give almost instant results then passing borders will become easier without having to quarantine on arrival.

Watch this space and keep your fingers crossed.
