As park hopping is not available throughout Walt Disney World and no Fast Pass in place due to preventing guest build up.
The newest and most popular ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the ‘Rise of the Resistance’ in the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge section of the park.
Disney with enhanced safety and hygiene in mind have created a virtual queue so that all guests can try and get to have their chance to face off against ‘Kylo Ren’.
Everyday, at 10.00 hrs and 14.00 hrs, guests at Disneyās Hollywood Studios should open their ‘My Disney Experience’ app to join the virtual queue. Steps are spelled out in the app for what you need to do and it will also notify you if there is no longer any availability. Apparently if you are in or close to ‘Star Wars, Galaxy’s Edge’ you have a better chance of getting availability.
Tip: Make sure you are using your mobile data (might be an additional expense) as the WiFi at the theme parks can sometimes lag. You will also want to make sure your park tickets are linked to your ‘My Disney Experience’ app. your My Disney Experience app. Anyone you have a linked park ticket for within your app, you will have the option to add them to your group.
Once awarded a spot in line, be sure to keep push notifications turned on for the app to notify you when your group is called. If youāre in line for another ride, you will have up to an hour to meet at the ‘Rise of the Resistance’ entrance. You will also be given an estimated return time when you are enrolled in the virtual queue, so you know how to sort of plan your day.
