As a Virgin First Mate I found this in my work ‘inbox’ which amused me. Virgin Voyages launch in April 2020 on a rotation of 4 or 5 night voyages from Miami. The Scarlet Lady hasn’t been launched yet but the voyages are open for sale. Virgin are reinventing the cruise experience and no children are allowed. Apparently there will be a resident Tattoo Artist onboard! The rates are top dollar and I would imagine that the demographic that can afford to sail won’t be considering body art as a huge selling point. But who am I to comment?

So if you live in South Dakota and are the first to book from the state Virgin Voyages are going to make a fuss of you. The travel agent (or First Mate as Virgin has called them) who makes the booking has their name entered into a draw to attend one of the Pre- inaugural events taking place across the globe.

These short voyages are a fantastic way to embellish a Florida experience by adding car hire or a beach stay or why not consider combining with a sidebar to Las Vegas and New York. So many possibilities to think about.
