The UK announced a traffic light system of countries that UK residents will be allowed to travel to from 17 May 2021. The travel industry and most of the population of the UK was very disappointed with the results.
The decisions were analysed by data that included the rates of infection of Covid-19 as well as the success so far of the countries vaccination programme. The results will be re-evaluated in the next few weeks and hopefully travel to the United States for leisure can recommence.
Amber means that returning citizens have to isolate for 10 days and take a paid PCR test on days 2 and 8. UK citizens are at this time being discouraged from travelling for leisure at this time.
