Just announced from the Mayor of New Orleans that MARDI GRAS PARADES in 2021 are cancelled. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic the gathering of expected crowds is going to be a super spreader event.

Apparently Mardi Gras cannot be cancelled because it is a religious holiday but the mayor insists that the holiday is going to look very different in 2021. Both Bourbon St and Frenchman St will remain open to visitors social distancing will be enforced as will the wearing of masks.
