JetBlue Announces Plans to Fly from Boston and New York to UK

I have never flown on JetBlue but did see their New York offices opposite the Queensboro’ Plaza Transit system in Queens. The exciting news is that they are applying to operate to Europe from Boston and New York but not until 2021.

Delta Airlines reaction to the news is that low cost carriers have come and gone on the Transatlantic route. WOW went just last month and Norwegian are a little vulnerable, apparently.

JetBlue have trendy snacks and can stream live t.v to your seat back screen. They also offer a business class known as ‘MINT’ that has fully reclining seats and will be using a long range Airbus A321 for the route.

Apparently the airline’s founders have a simple formula for choosing what routes to serve. They have to be overpriced or under-served or both.

Don’t be complacent you full serve carriers! This sounds very like very good news and who knows the exchange rate to America might be much improved by then.

I for one am very excited and looking forward to seeing what price point JetBlue will be able to offer the back end of the aircraft.
