Maybe it is Brexit or there are some more news worthy items to be reported on but was anyone aware that the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona was 100 years old on 26 February 2019? I only discovered it by finding in the Travel Trade Press. It missed the news in the UK.

The then President Woodrow Wilson designated the Grand Canyon as a National Park on 26 February 1919. The Grand Canyon is now one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There will be a series of events held during the year to celebrate it’s anniversary.
