Restaurants that are still open are operating take out … Continue reading Discover America’s National Parks – Virtually

Coronavirus – ‘Lockdown’ Cannonball Run Record will it stand?

I never knew that the Cannonball Run was actually a thing. I knew it was a movie with Burt Reynolds back in the day but didn’t realise that it was based a real rally. Taking advantage of the ‘Lockdown’ due to the Coronavirus Pandemic a new team driving a 2019 Audi A8 Sedan claim to have created a new record for the 3,000 mile journey … Continue reading Coronavirus – ‘Lockdown’ Cannonball Run Record will it stand?

Coronavirus – CNN Reporter Upsets President Trump

Alongside the BBC and SKY News in the UK I have been turning to CNN to get a more world wide picture of the Pandemic. The commercial breaks are irritating and too frequent but the coverage has been really comprehensive and informative. It is a pity that this kind of thing happens because it isn’t helpful and only demonstrates what a poor speaker Mr Trump … Continue reading Coronavirus – CNN Reporter Upsets President Trump

Coronavirus – US Cities see Air Quality Improve

Some positives from California during this Coronavirus Pandemic at last! Apparently the air quality over major cities of America has improved because of the ‘Lockdowns’. Traffic movement has reduced by approximately 70% and the air quality is the winner here. Cities seeing the best improvement in air quality are Los Angeles, Seattle and New York which probably is expected. Air Quality improves due to the … Continue reading Coronavirus – US Cities see Air Quality Improve

Coronavirus – USNS Comfort arrives in New York breaking Social Distancing Rules

New Yorkers have been criticised for flocking to see the arrival of USNS Comfort to Pier 90 in Manhattan. Comfort is one of the big white boats with a red cross – according to Trump that is. The hospital ship will be used initially for patients with non Coronavirus related conditions and alleviating the pressure on intensive care units in the city. Considering that New … Continue reading Coronavirus – USNS Comfort arrives in New York breaking Social Distancing Rules

Coronavirus – Corona Task Force Daily News Briefings not a Ratings Competition Mr Trump!

I cannot believe that as the world battles this invisible enemy the President of the United States is telling Americans that the ratings of the daily news briefings from the White House are a ratings hit. How do the poor people that are standing behind him whilst he prattles on about nothing keep a straight face? Maybe Anthony Fauci should push him out of the … Continue reading Coronavirus – Corona Task Force Daily News Briefings not a Ratings Competition Mr Trump!

Coronavirus – All 50 States

All 50 States have cases of Coronavirus. Social Distancing has been encouraged everywhere. California and New York has instructed people to stay home. Every press conference that I see from the White House has a gathering of experts and business leaders all standing close to each other behind the speaker. They were seen shaking hands and each handling the microphone between each speaker.  How does … Continue reading Coronavirus – All 50 States

Coronavirus – Lowest Exchange Rate for 34 Years

The pound against the dollar is $1.15 to £1.00 which is the lowest for 34 years. Simply awful! Kentucky Derby had been postponed until September. Non essential travel across the US/Canada border has been stopped. Nobody is going anywhere for a while. Maybe let’s cancel 2020 and look to 2021 to pick up plans for going to America. Continue reading Coronavirus – Lowest Exchange Rate for 34 Years

Coronavirus – Delays at US Airports for returning Americans

With the Pandemic causing the air traffic between Europe and USA to be shut down it seems that arriving Americans especially at Dallas Fort Worth and Chicago O’Hare were subject to horrendous delays on their arrival. There were some reporting delays to get through Homeland Security of up to 10 hours. The worrying thing was that all arriving passengers were lining up together and crowded … Continue reading Coronavirus – Delays at US Airports for returning Americans
