I had never heard about this tour before and it certainly wasn’t a thing when I was last at Disneyland which is about twenty years ago. It sounds like a wonderful addition to a visit to Disneyland Resort in California.
In addition to your park tickets this is a two hour tour with a VIP Tour Guide with audio earpieces that allows all guests to hear the narrative clearly no matter what the background noise is or where you are standing. This re-imagined tour, apparently, is returning after a break due to the 70th anniversary of Disneyland celebrations.
The tour starts at Disney’s California Park to discuss Walt’s ambitions for the resort that were off limits at the time due to lack of available land. Guests have many things pointed out that hide in plain sight that most people would normally just walk past.
There are rides included with front of the queue access and the tour ends in the famous apartment above the firehouse that Walt Disney lived in whilst the construction of the ‘most magical place on Earth’ continued.
Visitors to the tour receive souvenir lanyards, pin and name badge along with a snack box that the information says is ‘thoughtfully prepared’ for each guest.
How much is it to Walk in Walt’s Footsteps I hear you ask? It is definitely a considered purchase bearing in mind this is on top of your park entry ticket.
